Meet Cashew

I do not even remember where Cashew came from.  I'm sure he was probably a gift from my mom and dad.  As all beanie babies do- he came with a tag on his ear that had a name on it.  "Cashew"  And so- Ethan has called him Cashew ever since.  Cashew has become a very important part of Ethans life.  He has to be there for tuck ins and when we can't find Cashew, it's not easy to convince Ethan that we will find him "tomorrow".  SO, to forever remember Cashew in the event that he may not always be around-
a blog post to forever remember him by =)

Broken

Miss Chezney broke her pinky finger and buddy taping just wasn't working.  After many failed attempts at simple taping- I decided to make a home made cast... and who can argue when it's pink?!

Field Trip

Danissa's class went to tour a cathedral in Spokane.  It was a long day trip but the kids had a blast.  We had a little extra time after the tour so we went down to the riverfront and the kids got to have a scenic lunch, ride the carousel and go down the wagon slide a few times! =)

Gotta love these two... they are growing to be truly best friends!

Dad makes a great chaperone!  We had fun getting to hang out along the way!

Puppy Love

So here is the story....  a man was driving down a road in Quincy and found two puppies standing in the road.  He decided he couldn't just drive by so he pulled over and backed up to the pups.  When he got out to get them, they ran over an embankment on the side of the road.  He followed, only to find 4 more puppies clinging for life to the side of a large farming canal.  Six puppies were thrown into the canal and - supposed to have been- to their deaths.  Below is a picture of 5 of the 6 (one had already been given a new home at the time of the picture).  Mike heard the story and just couldn't help himself.  He claimed the last one- so all six puppies have new loving homes.
Meet Sandy!

Easter 2012

This year, we spent Easter a whole new way.  Chezney started the day out throwing up on her Eater dress so we had to reassess our plans.  I took the well three to my parents house for a potluck and easter egg hunt while Mike and sicky went to my in-laws for a quiet Easter morning and they even did a little egg hunt just for her!
